Dirt on the hands
Every single thing that we do are like dirt on our hands. It may not show, but it's there. At the end of the day, when the hands are washed and dried up, was getting our hands dirty worth the while? or were they just stains that needed to be washed out as soon as possible and be forgotten?

previously on Dirt on the Hands...
I admit, I haven't been updating lately. I only update when I'm bored and have internet connction. It has been a month and 2 days since my last day at my old work place and I haven't updated about a month before that. So here goes 2 months of updates jajaja. Guess I'll divide em into different posts to make my work easier.

Pre Moto Resignation

Nothing much to say really. My work at moto was always so boring. Nothing to do all day long and I never really chatted with em much. However, A week after I confirmed my job with IBM, a new colleague came in. As usual, I practically ignore people I don't know. Then suddenly she IM'd me on the moto internal IM.

Her : Hi
Me : Hiya
Her : Just wondering, who are you having lunch with?
Me : Umm... I usually eat alone
Her : Oh me too

By this time I already figured out she wants me to ask her for lunch. I am not as slow as some people think. She must be desperately lonely at work I suppose.

Me : So wanna join me?
Her : Sure, I'd like that

So I ended up having most of my lunches with her before I resigned. She's an Indian Muslim. Not dark tho, more of the hindustani type. One weird thing is that, she told me that she was sorta match made. I don't think it's a common practice nowadays. As usual, I only felt comfortable to hang around with her once I knew that she is not single. What's up with me and girls who are available? I tend to be to prefer hanging around with those are not available or just fall for the ones who have no interest in me at all. Self sabotaging trait IMO.

Office politics are so funny at times. This girl'd boss is a single 32 year old guy. He had a crush on one of his work mates but only told the girl after she got married (smart aye?). Before this friend of mine got into Moto, her boss practically ordered the girl he previously had a crush on to scram from her work spot and find another spot coz he needed it for his assistant. Because of that the girl had a grudge against this friend of mine. Which is prolly why the girl asked me out to lunch in the first place, seing as some of the senior girls don't like her coz her boss told one of them to find a new spot.... People are weird.

So just before I quit, the makcik2 and kakak2 treated me for lunch. One auntie treated me to TGI Fridays. She told me to order anything so I ordered an RM50 Steak muahahaha. Medium rare steaks so good. The meat was still tender and juicy when cut too. The following day the kakak2 there treated me to lunch pulak. See, I told ya I always hang around with people who are not available. In this case their married people all older than me :P Uhh all of the guys just salam me before I went out the door only.

Last week my friend over at Moto sent me an sms saying that people there still talk about me. "the great IT guy" hoho so touching people still remember me a month after I left.

The Wow Diaries

I've been sorta weird lately. It's even noticable in WoW too. I used to not talk in Ventrilo (our VoIP Software). Now however, I do talk when I feel like it. People from outside Malaysia doesn't know where to place my accent tho. I've been told I sound french, Jamaican sometimes Indian. Thing is, even I don't know what accent I speak.

I have been very vocal also, not only on vent. Before, if I have a problem with someone, I usually just complain but I never actually do anything about it. Now however I provoke this people coz well, they deserve it?

There was one incident which was sorta funny and mean in a way to me. Before I start a dialogue entry, I have to explain some WoW terms first.

Healing Meters - Meters which records all the healing that members of the raid have done
Spec - Players can fill in talents which then dictates their specialization. Changable but rarely done so. IE: a shaman like me can do damage spec or healing spec. Damage spec has really really crappy healings and vice versa.

This even happened a few weeks ago. A recruit priest was with my raid and we're trying on a particularly hard boss which btw, we have killed before. This new priest has been grating on my nerves for the past couple of weeks coz his attitude just rubs me the wrong way. The bugger had the balls to say on Vent this one time that him and me were the best healers in my guild. Even I never said that coz I know it is not true. Then there is the fact whereby he never admits to hit faults. For example, during this boss fight, he died a few times, but he always say he doesn't know how he died lah, it's not his fault lah, the game bugged and killed him lah. Mupltiple times at that he died with no reason and each and every one of those times it wasn't his fault. Yeah, right. So this dialogue was after another failed attempt, where me, who was damage spec at the time, went into healing gear and helped heal ( coz our new priest healer sucked?)

I linked the healing meters of the previous fight to the raid, showing me, in damage spec dong more heals than the nub priest

Me : Hai? and im damage spec?
Me : Hai? and I ended up with more mana before everyone died?
Me : Hai?
Nub sucky Priest : ...

He promptly logged off, and the next day quit the guild.... wa, Objective Achieved... but I was so mean. I know everyone didn't like the guy, mainly coz he was so sucky but his attitude was the one that I've a prob with. I have grouped with sucky players before and it doesn't really bother me unless it's a sucky player with a big obnoxious attitude. If you want to have the attitude, have the skills to go along with it.

I have always been known to everyone as the neutral guy in WoW. All and every faction likes and I hope respects me. So if I provoke someone or actually say something most people would listen to me. Pity the poor fool who is sucky enough and has a bad attitude that gets my attention.

The New Place

I have been here at IBM for almost a month now. My first pay is due also. So far, only thing I've done here is training which prolly would go on for another few more weeks. It seems as if I speak more english everyday than I do Malay. All my friends at IBM are Chinese atm. Since all the trainees in my batch are Chinese and I haven't had time to spend with non-trainee people.
The environment here isn't bad I suppose. My trainer is sorta funny, sorta jack assy too :P Which makes for very funny lectures. One time he pulled a stupidly funny prank on one of the trainees. Here's how it went.

Trainee 1 sneezed and the trainer being slightly paranoid about germs told him to open the conference door wide open.

Trainer : Oi, you didn't snees into a tissue or shirt like I told you ah, open the door and let the germs go out.
Trainee 1 : Oh alright.

Then just as he opened the door, this cute amoi walked pass the door.

Trainer : Oh hey, this trainee just farted!
Amoi : OH MY GOD! (with a very disgusted look on her face)
Trainee : .... Where got?????Trainer and rest of trainees laughed our ass off... the trainee who got punked repaid us by really farting in the conference room the next day....

I think the rest of the trainee is sorta overwhelmed by me >_< Everything in the training session is about hardwares and programs... I can't help it that I can catch everything instantly. The trainer always asks us questions and of course la I can answer them all easily... I mean, I've been using computers since I was 6. Then the trainer kept saying to follow my example and study hard at home... Okaaay.... me... study..? Never happened.
